the only thing this gay pride stuff is used for is this huuuge appeal to emotion. I have never seen people use the "gay people are killed in x countries" (where they, believe it or not, actually ARE!) is when they're upset about straight people endlessly baiting them with stuff like straight pride month. even then, it's used so flimsily it downplays the actual meaningfulness of the issue. if you are offended by straight pride month, you are exactly the type of oversensitive idiot that the idea of the hashtag was created to bait you into losing your precious stuff.
