Author Topic: Stop using MediaFire as download links please!!  (Read 10654 times)

Never had problem with it.

Use mega.nz

I switched from Dropbox to MEGA as my default cloud file host a year ago, can confirm that there are no issues, ads or other bullstuff.

As for the ads on Mediafire, I have AdBlock on Google Chrome and I still see them too directly after pressing the download button: most of the time it's a Roblox registration ad (no kidding), but occassionally there'll be something malicious i.e. "your PC is infected" or similar.

We have Pecon's justfilehosting.space, Hostr, Dropbox and MEGA.

please stop using Mediafire.

just use google drive like a normal human being

Holy stuff.
You stepped back like 5 years there.

For clarification, mediafire sometimes unexpectedly attacks traffic with uncloseable ads that evade adblock. It forces your browser to stay open until you kill the program or turn off your pc.

Mediafire sucks since they stopped letting you preview audio files, which was good for the Music section

i dont have any problems with ads, just using a plain old macintosh computer B)
i wish this was bannable

Yeah some other dude took over mega. It's still miles ahead of mediafire.

No (potentially malicious) ads, no trackers, a hell of a lot more secure than medafire, 50GB storage free, temporary upload without an account, IM and voice chat, the list goes on.

I think he's referring to posts that try to correlate things that don't actually correlate at all. Like a Macintosh and ads.

I don't always get the scary malware sh!t... it is rare but im just saying if Mod creators could just please not use Mediafire anymore... use DropBox please...

I dont have any viruses or malware stuff like that.. it just appears.. and it tells you to download this and call this number...
