everyone knows mediafire. you know, that thing you started using when you were like 11 to store your powerpoint presentations for class, or just storing your blockland builds.

well, guess what? it's not as lighthearted as it was several years ago.

it's riddled with ads. malicious ones. including those fake tech support scam bluescreen things which you can thankfully flee from with chrome's stop making additional dialogue thing.

with ublock origin off:

ublock origin on:

and, as i mentioned before, you will sometimes get a popup for those fake BSODs that don't even try. with ublock origin on.
you do not do that to your customers. you do not allow malicious ads and scams to appear on your website. no. no. no.

hosting itself sucks as well. why can't i bulk download my files? i need premium. why is storage kinda stuff? i need premium. premium is awful, and at least dropbox lets you earn more instead of forcing you to buy it immediately.

why are people still using it? archives i see are deleted from it all the time, for no reason or because of a false ToS or DMCA.

if anything, stop using mediafire all together and use services like MEGA or Dropbox or any of the other free ones that aren't stuff.

as a PSA to anyone who still uses this: stop using it and don't support their filth.

i noticed the malicious ads and popups about 2 years ago when everyone was still using it to host addons and stuff
needless to say i haven't clicked a mediafire link since

i remember the days when everyone used it :(

Use Pecon's hosting service

It's been like this for a long time, but I agree it's still stuff though and it's probably one of the main reasons why I used ad-block.

wait why doesnt it drown me in ads? I dont have ublock

I really hope it dies.

I really hope it dies.

it won't, like every single minecraft and game extension site uses it

I hate whenever a site in general has fake BSOD. Obviously I know they're fake, but the fact that usually they are paired with loud ass alarms and air-horns is annoying as forget whenever you try and download an add-on or file.

Is there an Adblock that exists where certain websites can't detect that your using Adblock? It's annoying because they're like you can't view this unless you turn Adblock off.

Its been like that for a while lol
Just leave your adblock on

i believe there is an extension that works as an anti-anti-adblock

Use either a script with tampermonkey or ublock because apperently adblock takes bribes
