i'm not giving any opinions here, but i heavily summarized what was in the cnn article

This is forgeted. I saw a video of his mom an 14 year old son on twitter and it was heartbreaking to see him breakdown like he did.

Watching the video the officers were supposed to be wearing body cameras but they 'fell of during the altercation'.
This might be the first case where this is a genuine abuse that needs to have consequences.

However, the actual shooting is censored in the video, he was put down, someone screams "He's got a gun", then a police takes out his gun without saying anything and shoots him point blank. I don't understand why would he do that - but considering all of the above if the video doesn't just cut off important scenes (as I said, it's censored - in the sense that the video cuts off at the shooting) this is completely the officer's fault.

Seems to be a case of untrained police officers. I read earlier that one cop yelled gun when he found one in the guys pocket, and the other cop heard that and started shooting.

Also, never got why people have to state that it's a black man in the title

Because nobody cares if a white person is shot. Not that it doesn't happen, but it just doesn't matter. We're in 2016 remember?

Oops

People do care when a white person gets shot. The reason black is specified is because of the different outcomes of police brutality among races.

or in other words i'm guessing this basically means "because police brutality against black people is a public concern for many people right now"

no

But police shoot more whites than blacks, I mean I get that there are more whites to shoot but still.

As someone who supports the empowerment of minorities in the US, it's pretty common that nobody cares when a white man gets shot. We're providing excess attention to one's race over their actual meaning in society and their relationships (but not implying that minorities are useless - it's just that we have increased focus on race over person).

This is true, but it forgeted up when a man shoots up a church or a movie theater doesn't get shot but a man who was possibly armed selling CDs but detained gets killed.
