North Korea was on the verge of making peace too.
They verbally committed to toning down their nuclear weapons program in response to the broad sanctions imposed on them by the UN.

The US is adding additional sanctions in response to other, non-nuclear human rights abuses. If anything, this will force North Korea to reform itself even moreso.

in response to the sanctions imposed only by the US, north korea resumed its nuclear pursuit. plutonium extraction has resumed and several refineries have been reopened as a result. the US, looking to protect south korea from any such threats, has decided to place an "iron dome" equivalent like that found in israel to defend the peninsula.

pyongyang and beijing are upset at this development; pyongyang because they can't nuke south korea, and china because they can't use missile systems on the peninsula.

Are those actual important events or just the basic n. korea news we randomly hear every months then quickly forget about it?

holy stuff Lord Tony was right

Honestly we should have let them continue making prison camps.

No full out war.

The middle east has done worse and we don't put sanctions on them for that. Plus why didn't we put sanctions on NK for humanity reasons years ago? Why now? America is just trying to antagonize NK.
