"democracy" in this case refers specifically to capitalist democracies as they were one of the three general groups during ww2 along with the fascists (far authoritarian) and communists (lefty). it's an interpretation of the three major groups, not an actual definition of the terms.

and thank you for the edit. i understand how the political compass works.

we assume the center is a society that has more "capitalist" tendencies than "communist" ones

for example, private ownership and commerce

and thank you for the edit. i understand how the political compass works.

i'd agree more with your rough interpretation if you rotated it about 90 to 120 degrees clockwise

not what i had in mind

anyway we're nitpicking the wrong issue

the issue is that the third french republic was a parliamentary republic - inherently democratic, regardless of its leader. the reason britain and the US went grey is because we overpowered the most democratic aspects of our governments - the american congress, and the british parliament

hows the meme wars going

and all i'm saying is that while it is still a democracy by all rights, it is a democracy with a large socialist majority. socialism, being the big bad monster it is in the 1930s, creates a big divide between capitalist democracies and itself, so i changed its color to represent the group that would be more accepting of it; the communists

but i don't really care. i'll make it blue if you all believe it should be. it is still a democracy, after all. i just wanted to explain my reasoning.

Your war against Japan would probably not be in your favor at the moment, considering Japan has a large ground force in mainland Asia. But naturally you two should be RPing that out, I don't know how you guys are positioning your armies so I can't say for sure.

Xibei San Ma is much weaker, though, and would be losing territory.

Japan continues to push its forces out towards the western and northern Chinese border, working towards Beijing and Nanking.
In other news, the A6M Zero is deployed to the Philippines and to China. As a result, the A5M is slowly phased out.
