Author Topic: [Request] Code my models  (Read 2190 times)

So I have about 7 models that are from owari no seraph and id like to get them ingame and release them as an addon
the only thing id, I have no idea how to code. Honestly I cant even get the size and orentation of the model right because you have to resize/scale them in edit mode but than you dont but you have to do this and that and its always wrong when I do it
I got the models, thats all. And most of them are probably huge ingame.
Just send a PM and ill send you more details or something
Models:

Some of the models have had a little bit of changes

I have nowhere to say this other than in one of the many threads that does it, and I chose yours only because it was the most recent one
why do you put "[Request]" or anything to that effect in the title in this board. this is suggestions and requests. which are basically synonymous. so what's the point, when every thread in this board is a request?

Give screenshots of your models or no one is going to want to code them.

Because suggestions are also in this thread and this thread is a request?

Ill update OP

Seems pretty easy to do. Most of them look like melee weapons.

but they're the same thing in this context. you wouldn't "suggest" something if you didn't want it, and if you make a thread "suggesting" something that you want, you're asking for it, which is a request
I don't really care whether or not you prefix your thread's title with some unnecessary text, so I don't wanna get into a whole argument about it. I just don't understand the reasoning behind it

Yeah but I want like coolio attack animations for most melee weapobs
I don't know if that'll make them harder or whatever

those are pretty good models actually

the only problem i see is a lot of them have tiny handles

For the scythe its supposed to be like that. Maybe a little bit larger wotn hurt I guess
The trident is ehh... I guess it can be a bit larger

I dont see a problem with the other weapons

I don't know if it's just the angle that you took the pictures at, but some of these seem super thin. Are they supposed to be like that?

Yep

I mean, its a blade after all

what people are bringing up is that its probably going to come out somewhat akin to takato's weapons

as in the model looks great but it just looks weird for BL due to proportional issues and unusual geometry (not that unique geometry is a bad thing), especially the scythe. the handle looks paper thin. you probably should import the item positioning and scaling model and check if the proportions/dimensions are what you intend them to be.

but i digress. Animations for your model must be done by you in blender or shaper or milkshape; they can only be called with code. I suggest you get them ingame first before doing any fancymations cause you may want to edit the model depending how it shows up ingame, and editing after animations is extremely annoying/time consuming cause you may have to redo all the animations. You will also need to position the bow/arrow as you intend for them to be oriented in game (relative to that item positioning model) and put in muzzlePoints and such so you can fire the projectile (which also need to be exported).

after positioning the models, always select all and ctrl-a apply location rotation and scale. This is why you're having inconsistent results when scaling in object mode.

I'd help you but i'm a tad busy rn, so unless its a commission i can't get to your request right away.

I did download the blockland doll or whatever and just cut everything but the hand but it seems to be gigantic all the time
Ill try the link you gave me

EDIT omg that doll is genius

but for animations I have no idea what to do with them
Am I supposed to name them in some way or whatever?

Also is it possible to do an animation if you click once but if you spam clicks you get like another?
Like a single swing with dual sword but multiple swing if rapid clicking
or whatever

EDIT: Apperently you use empties?
Is it okay if I just animate the whole thing or?
