Author Topic: [NEWS] Military coup in Turkey fails  (Read 13569 times)

EDIT: Saudi Arabia has a lot of money, and the US is releasing today a document that could be highly damaging to the country's position in the world. Maybe they're trying to get back at us by overthrowing a key ally in the region?
Unlikely. If the military is indeed democratic and secular, then they are the exact opposite of Saudi Arabia. The Sauds are about as fundamental as you can get before the CIA comes after you.

also is this starting to look like a false flag operation to anyone else

I don't want to sound like a tin foil conspiracy person but why would he be flying in a plane for that long over the same area when the turkish air force went rogue? and why would the parliament building be bombed? who would bomb it? why? the coup forces are in favor of democracy, so why would they bomb the place where democracy resides? and why would pro-erdogan forces bomb it? that's where they work, isn't it?
this is what got me, and i've been trying to figure it out for the past while. i believe if this was a false flag, erdogan is going to go through with his plan to purge/reform the military, and replace them with the pro-islamic loyalists that were on his side for the coup, and then on goes the fundamentalism, anti-american resentment, etc. he's also called for limitations on the military, so he's probably going to go through with stripping quite a few things from them.

some people also had a few good points

shooting civilians is a war crime, so what the forget is going to happen after the coup? They going to overthrow the govt and then get life sentences?9
martial law was declared, a lot of the civilians that got shot were answering erdogan's call to arms and violently reacting to the coup forces, and others were trying to stand infront of tanks, though i'd believe there have also been civilians shot down in crossfire or purposefully

The soldiers might have surrendered. Erdogan is saying that the disturbance is over, and that the rebellion has been put down.

Soldiers are being shown surrendering after coup fails. Possibly signaling the end of this horrible event.

take his words with a grain of salt, a lot of media outlets such as CNN, skynews live, etc. are going full-propaganda on the incident, i wouldn't be surprised if he is too

right now, ankara, the capital of turkey, is still held by coup forces. istanbul is a no-go

the navy is apparently in on the coup, too, or at least were believed to have been. they're acting pretty awkward so far

I'm on vacation here in Istanbul. Was here when the airport attack happened too.

is there any chances that this coup could actually be successful in capturing Istanbul?

its happened several times in the past
so, maybe? i'm hoping it does to be honest. forget erdogan.

>A group of soldiers WITH 2 loving TANKS surrender to the police who only has peashooters compared to what the army has

What the forget?

They weren't willing to slaughter their own civilians. It's why you don't need a gun to defend yourself from the government. The military are not some other nation, they are made up of people who are also citizens of that nation. Most won't turn on their own people when it comes to blows.

the coup forces failed to not surrender to mobs, as well, which lead to quite a good portion of them being beaten to hell right after surrendering

also i believe pretty much everyone in that image that was surrendering on the bridge is dead now
