Author Topic: Controversy sparks over "Pride Los Santos" GTA V Gay pride mod  (Read 7471 times)

Here let me just sum up why I'm not even going to bother reading McJob's little crybaby rant:

sounds like you downloaded the child research

sounds like you downloaded the child research

If this wasn't a joke I could easily get banned for I'd go with it but no, I didn't.

But yeah, McJob crying about free mods made by people for free in their free time like it's the stufftiest thing that could ever be forced upon us, somehow this doesn't even surprise me.

Without paragraphs of whiny bullstuff, who or what does this harm again, exactly?

The mod isn't hurting anyone. It is not destructive either to any real people nor your computer.

Just don't download it.

so it's a clothing / vanity mod for singleplayer?

mcjob you're sounding dangerously like that fez developer crying about the state of video game industry or something

like i don't understand what you consider "morally right" in video games - its like saying art is moral/amoral. barring extreme cases, its pretty subjective to the viewer, and this isn't an extreme case. a mod where you cant kill npcs that the mod creates isn't some sort of cp like you're comparing it to be - what's morally wrong about creating an unkillable NPC? would you be as mad if the NPCs were not gay pride people but instead random citizens on the street?

the statement the mod is trying to make is pretty clear and you don't have to agree with it, but you also don't have to go on a crusade to shoot it down on moral grounds. its pointless for the same reason why political debates over the internet are pointless: the things being argued, while based in fact, appear differently to each person involved.

From what I've seen, He seems to be stuck with the "muh objective game design philosophy" attitude. My last account got banned for sperging out about that (I've obviously gotten over that now and have embraced the subjectivity of the universe), we might see him go soon.

we might see him go soon.
are you kidding me this is like his 4th account

why the forget would you choose GTA 5 for this? what the actual forget

seriously, a gay pride mod with an actual parade in GTA 5 is probably the stupidest mod for a game like this, especially since theres an actual loving torture scene in the game and you rob a bunch of banks, hell loving GTA itself is a parody of american culture with god knows how many loveual innuendos/puns as company names and a huge ammount of other things poking fun at it

its just not fitting at all with anything in the game unless it pokes fun at itself like everything else in gta does, but considering it brings up the orlando shooting i doubt thats happening

can someone remod this so you can kill the npcs

wtf? this is the lamest mod ever

honestly it is poor game design to make people invincible in gta, because that means you've made the game stop following its own rules, but i wouldn't get genuinely upset because i think someone's bad at making games

I mean, little weird people want to deliberately download this to mow all these people down.
It's what they do in the base game too, but now with a bit more personality to the characters you mow down....
The fact they made them invincible is kinda weird too, but you know, it's their choice.
It's not like i will download this mod and i doubt many people will.
It kinda feels like it is for people wanting to feel recognized for being gay or something, because that is the only goal i can see this could achieve in a game like GTA V in this way.
Guess it is to spark controversy and debate, for whatever strange agenda these people have.
That is my only other explanation to this situation i can come up with.

oh man i can't wait until modders remove the npc invincibility and plaster it all over youtube

basically this

While the mod is kinda useless and the choice to make everyone invincible is a little poor, you gotta admit, it's a little cringy when everybody sounds like they'd go out of their way to make them not invincible just so they could slaughter them.
