maybe try that stereotypical stick-with-string-supporting-box trap and just lie in wait

UPDATE: MY CAT ATE THE PEANUT BUTTER PLATES
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM
forget YOU CAT

sure the squirrel it brought in isnt itself

this is a pretty nutty situation

Stop squirreling around

Stop squirreling around
roden't you dare make another pun

try the same strategy you would if you were dealing with a rat
except it's brown and has a fluffy tail

it's a rodent; deal with it like one

if you're afraid of your cat getting caught by a trap, then instead of using conventional traps, use trickery.

spook the squirrel so that it flees to a room with only one exit, like a bedroom or bathroom

then get your cat and leave them both trapped in the room together

allow your cat to end what it began

Bait him even more. Just dont be a master at it. Dont do Master Bait.

spook the squirrel so that it flees to a room with only one exit, like a bedroom or bathroom
you see there's the problem: I have no idea what room it's in, i've been looking EVERYWHERE for it and I can't find it anywhere
I actually left the door open so it's possible that when it fled away from me it scurried out the door but i have absolutely no way to verify that

anyways i have to get to bed, i have work tomorrow so hopefully if the squirrel is still in the house, the cat will take care of it.

The squirrel and the cat are working together.
 This is getting sig'd btw.

Looks like you're gonna have to live with a squirrel

you can get squirrel traps they look like oversized mouse traps
