Me personally would like to see an improvement on how the engine handles sounds. Right now we cant use gun sounds that exceed like 0.5 seconds because the engine doesnt automatically loop them, it just plays them over the top of eachother which in turn cuts the audio out becuase there are too many sounds playing at once. Same goes for explosions and what not.

Id like too see sound features from like the Refractor engine. Where you can set points on the audio at which it will loop when you fire a  weapon. So if i have a weapon that shoots 900 rpm id set the loop points from 0 to 0.2. So when the weapon fires, only that will play, but when the trigger is released the rest of the sound, like the open world echo of the gun shot will play.

Anyways, its not a huge issue, but its definitely been a problem for me


probably the netcode. if that were more up-to-date, it'd be fantastic

Shader performance. Theres no denying that this game runs great with no shaders and minimum but once you put on the shadows the game s'verdict turns from a "Runs Well" to a "Runs like stuff".

The thing is, the engine is probably at fault here. The game has to redraw the shadows at every frame.

the engine, ofc. it'd fix all the other problems.

The players

Vehicle physics or the engine.

Events. Sometimes I like to use a lot of relay events, I wish that you could easily copy and paste a line of event individually. Also, when you have events set up and want to change events from self to NamedBrick, it would be nice if upon that change, the later part of the event after the Self or NamedBrick section don't delete as sometimes, I want to keep the later part of the event, but change something closer to the beginning of the line of events.

It would also be nice if the engine was optimised to allow shaders on systems with an integrated graphics card so that more people can run shaders and stuff like that.

It would also be nice if you could have greater control over trust, sometimes I want people to use events on my bricks, but not allowed to build on my bricks.

DEFINITELY what needs to be done in Blockland is to have a dedicated RTB style chat thing integrated within the game. As back in RTB, I found that I could make a lot of friends directly in game rather than having to faf about on the forums etc... finding peeps to play with. It was also nice to see what add ons people were using. I don't mind about any other points I made, but seriously, a new RTB chat thing needs to happen in game!!!

Honestly that seems like it could be hilarious. If it got annoying we'd just have a mute feature, or the ability to make a whitelist of people.
But yes, I realize that Torque wouldn't support it ever.


i'd say vehicle physics but then speedkart wouldn't be as fun

melee combat however is severely lacking - all of the melee weapons are basically guns except with 1-inch range
