Author Topic: I've been BLACKED.  (Read 2285 times)

So I just found out that the L in Adam Wingard's Death Note film being released next year is black. Having used the anime character as my persona for many years, I find this offensive. And yeah, I know my in-game avatar is also pitch black but it's poetry for having a blank face and being annoymous. Also, what the forget is L doing out in public, he's meant to be a basement dweller like myself. Anywhos, Death Note (2017) discussion thread I guess.

blacked also is a term for a white person getting forgeted by a black person.
what a surprise it was to read this thread title

i never even realized there was a movie for death note
stuff time to pullup amazon

damn
looks like we'll have to put you down, you know how blacks are treated around this area

dude why
l aint a thug
at least they aren't making an american live action sword art online series

shouldn't he be, y'know, asian

shouldn't he be, y'know, asian
i feel like he should be darker, like an angolan

Where are the Asians complaining that they've been replaced with non-Asians?

SJWs don't class asians as a minority, plus asians are kind of above complaining about something like this.

Could always assume this L is also a fake.

You know, it'd make sense.

I had no idea they were making another death note film. Maybe this one will be better then the anime ;)

If they keep the start and end and not the "absolutely nothing is happening for ages" middle section.

the death note adaptation is set in new york iirc

most of the cast is white including light himself

but L is supposed to be a pasty and grungy weirdo

making him black kind of destroy L's main aesthetic
