Author Topic: Just started dating my best friend, how to make it less awkward?  (Read 5569 times)

You think you're funny turning my words around.

I never implied rape. So if you thought about rape then something is wrong with you.

Nice try, Clownfish.
incorrect for you left your statement open eneded

you merely said we might as well get as much love as we can get

and the fastest way to have a lot of love is to drug or force women to have love with you

nice try tony, but i am a master

that's one of the most awkward motivations for having love with ever stranger dude but whatever floats your boat

So not loving a married woman is for what, moral reasons?

Who implanted those morals into you? Do you morally believe adultery is wrong or were you taught it at a young age?

Ask yourself deep down, "do I really believe this" think for your loving self.

Religious reasons they believe love with a married woman is wrong and they pressured these beliefs on everyone to the point where everyone behaves this way regardless of whether that's what they want to do or not.

Don't be a mindless sheep.

Close friends should stay close friends.

There's a stark difference between girlfriend/boyfriend material and best friend material. i'm sure you're already getting a feel for this considering how awkward you say it is

dont take any offense from this, but you should stop dating them asap or your friendship will die with your relationship
You're exactly right

"I'm gonna kill what could be a lifetime relationship so that I can have a girlfriend for a few months"

You two are loving idiots; please never hand-out relationship advice ever.

@OP, it really shouldn't be that awkward for you. forget what other people think; if you're happy, that's what matters. Just make sure to keep the relationship interesting. Be a little spontaneous and proactive every once in a while, and for forget sake be honest and open. Eventually the "Honeymoon Period" is going to end so be prepared to have arguments/disagrements and deal with them as calmly as possible.

Otherwise, your bestie is probably the best choice as it's somebody you've known and built a very long-standing relationship and trust with, so that gives you a bloody solid foundation to begin with. Besides, if you do break up, you've got more chance of breaking up peacefully and remaining friends afterwards. Apparently the two loving twats above think it's impossible to be friends with people you slept with.

Just because you want to be a virgin doesn't mean Bisjac shouldn't get love out of it.
he's loving a married woman, that's a real Chad thing to do

or you know maybe some people get married because they're in love but whatever helps you feel better about not being able to grow up, my man

Marriage isn't needed in today's society and people realize this and they find out they can't get out of it because they are locked in.

You don't need to get married to be with someone forever. You don't need to sign a legal document to prove that and you don't need an expensive ring to prove it.

When you get married and your wife is unhappy with the marriage and she knows she can't get out of it because divorce is too complicated don't be surprised when she forgets other people behind your back.

I don't know if love is real or not however what I do know is that the romantic attraction between two people fades within 6 months.

This is why some couples experiment and try new stuff all the time so they don't get bored.

well maybe she loves me as well.
shouldnt that be ok? who makes the rules here lol

Smash her right in the ol' behind, you guys will feel way more compatible after that.

well maybe she loves me as well.

Yeah Poliwhirl. Who the forget are you to get in the way of love between Bisjac and the married woman?

That dead marriage isn't going to make her love her husband any more than it is now.

im the only thing keeping her from a messy waste of a divorce.
they have rent to pay together, why should i allow them to break up because shes miserable.

I mean, generally bisjac is a troll, but he's kind of right here in a sense. If you just go to the Government and get the papers signed to say you're married, all you're really doing is telling the Government that you share assets and should be treated as a family for tax/legal purposes.

There are a lot of people in the world who enjoy long-term, deep relationships without "formalising" it, although these people have to pay taxes and deal with things as individuals. I do personally see the importance of marriage as a symbolic thing though; you're not supposed to just rush into it and then find out later you don't love that person. You save it for the person you really do forgetin' care about. Unfortunately, most people couldn't give a toss for symbolism or any of that stuff and they just want to hump their brains out, so.

When you get married and your wife is unhappy with the marriage and she knows she can't get out of it because divorce is too complicated don't be surprised when she forgets other people behind your back.
Because divorce is a "complicated procedure", that automatically means people are going to cheat on you if the marriage fails? Are you loving handicapped?

It's loving 2016 not 1616. No one cares about marriage anymore. Look at the stats, divorce is skyrocketing and marriage is decreasing.
