or you know maybe some people get married because they're in love but whatever helps you feel better about not being able to grow up, my man
I mean, generally bisjac is a troll, but he's
kind of right here in a sense. If you just go to the Government and get the papers signed to say you're married, all you're really doing is telling the Government that you share assets and should be treated as a family for tax/legal purposes.
There are a lot of people in the world who enjoy long-term, deep relationships without "formalising" it, although these people have to pay taxes and deal with things as individuals. I do personally see the importance of marriage as a symbolic thing though; you're not supposed to just rush into it and then find out later you don't love that person. You save it for the person you really do forgetin' care about. Unfortunately, most people couldn't give a toss for symbolism or any of that stuff and they just want to hump their brains out, so.
When you get married and your wife is unhappy with the marriage and she knows she can't get out of it because divorce is too complicated don't be surprised when she forgets other people behind your back.
Because divorce is a "complicated procedure", that automatically means people are going to cheat on you if the marriage fails? Are you loving handicapped?
