found a stuffty ol' gba at thrift store for $4. not only is the screen almost impossible to see even in the daylight, but the shell is dented and discolored and the screen cover looks like it was attacked by wolverine himself.

parts to be put in:

new shell
glass screen cover
frontlight

i also bought osaka 7 loca instead of the cheap generic stuff cos it's probably better

i will be updating this topic with my progress (i need to clean my work area first)

i always kinda liked being able to see the circuit boards through the clear shell. i've got a clear pink GBA

I can't find my gba. It's probably corroded and unusable because last I saw it almost ten years ago, it was in a plastic bag with two double a batteries in it. Also it was transparent grey, I hate ugly transparent plastic.

had to shave off some of the insides to make room for frontlight

foam also needed to be torn off

i applied the loca, and was surprised to see almost no air bubbles

set it in front of my window for its first curing, though by the time i got back it was 3 hours over the recommened cure time (oops). i just set it out for a second curing after removing the shiny sticker thing
