Author Topic: Feminists realize that their word is bad and now want to change it.  (Read 3808 times)

What. Of all the words in the English language they choose "champion?"

it's because the people who actually believe that both genders should be treated equally are being compared to extremists under the same title.

really they're right that feminist has a negative connotation for actual feminists who want actually equal rights but huffington is still in the dumb zone

This is just going to hurt the word "champion" now.

The definition of a champion doesn't describe some angry woman complaining because some man was manspreading.

feminism is cancer and inherently flawed can we just gas the feminists like we did with the Jews or would they call that loveist

This proposed change seems to fly in the face of what they're trying to convey. "Feminist" should be replaced with "decent person", because your average feminist is just someone who advocates for women's rights (i.e abortion and full equality) and that's a noble goal.

why are you reading "meninist.net"

Equality Is An Abstract Concept. It Cannot Exist In The Concrete World. Much Of The "Issues" Experienced Are Caused/Accelerated By The Victims Themselves.

Feminism, By Nature, Equals Female Supremacy.

Or advocating the end of loveist air conditioning.

Or advocating the end of loveist air conditioning.
The air conditioning complaint seems kind of silly but they have a point. If men tend to be managers and in executive positions, then they're the ones that control the temperature in the office. Women's bodies don't produce as much heat so they may feel cold though men in the office may not. So the boss might not realize that the women are all wearing sweaters while the men don't feel uncomfortable at all.

It's really just a symptom of having a lack of women in manager positions though. I'm sure if a woman brought it up to her boss that all the women feel cold, the boss would raise it a bit to where everyone is mostly comfortable, if he's a reasonable person. This is not the women's issue of the century but it's just something small to think about I guess.

Or more like men have a strict dress code with a suit, tie, 1 or 2 other layers of loving clothing.

While woman can wear whatever, man.

Don't even attempt to defend that office air conditioning bullstuff that lady spewed out.

Also statistically men get over heated more than women. So if there is no cold conditioning, wouldn't they burn up to death while women are comfortable? When the woman's issue can be solved with a loving sweater, the man can't take off his clothes and then you feminists will be screaming rape because the guy is rolling up his sleeves showing skin because it's hot.

wait what is this about?

wait what is this about?

He's defending that bullstuff claiming office air conditioning is loveist.

It seems to me like most male dress codes simply require one layer of clothing. Long pants, maybe a tie, and a dress shirt. (Does any kind of workplace require you to wear a jacket or a full blown suit?) It's not like a tie is going to make you feel hotter, so really the only "inequality" here is that women can wear skirts and dresses to let their legs breath.

While woman can wear whatever, man.

Dress codes, especially gendered ones, are stupid. I don't imagine that it's criminal to roll up your sleeves in an office, though. You are overstating this part of the issue.

Source?

I don't think peoples' perception of the room temperature is that extreme. If women are freezing, I'm sure if you turned it up 2-4 degrees Fahrenheit men wouldn't be "burning up" and women would feel a lot better.

When the woman's issue can be solved with a loving sweater, the man can't take off his clothes and then you feminists will be screaming rape because the guy is rolling up his sleeves showing skin because it's hot.
Why would a woman scream rape at a guy showing his skin? In what way could that even be rationalized as threatening? Also, short sleeve office shirts actually exist and are acceptable in most office spaces.

I'm not saying that office air conditioning is loveist, (and I'm not sure if anyone has actually tried to argue that) just that it's not far fetched to imagine that an inattentive male boss could have the temperature set too low, and that this could make women uncomfortable without affecting men as much
