I love the argument that has grown in this thread. One side is fueled by misinformation and fear the other blinded by experience and love for the plant.

It should be rescheduled imo but it isn't like weed CURES much, its just an alternative to pharmaceuticals. People that smoke weed sometimes forget that it does have some slight risks like all drugs do. People that hate it should realize that most research on weed is illegal so we don't have as much information as we should about it .

by the way guys, inhaling anything that isn't clean air is probably going to cause some type of damage to your lungs
so while yeah you're not going to go insane smoking weed you will still cause wear and tear on ur lungos

i've seen the facts. i didn't reply to anything beyond this page because it doesn't matter, the actual discussion doesn't matter and it won't change the outcome of weed being legalized or not.

they can stay mad because i said their drug was bad, and i can testify it's bad because i did it at one point during highschool. made my clothes reek and forgeted up my senses.
it wasn't for me, but the implications it had on people around me were far worse than my own. so i stopped doing it, sold my kit for money and went on with my life. stopped getting in trouble with local authority, that's a plus. didn't have to be sneaky around anyone anymore.

so to tl:dr your question. a little bit of both.

I like that most people against marijuana that have had any inkling of experience with it have one bad thing with it, and instantly assume literally everyone has the same effect. stuff, if we'd ban Tylenol or other o.t.c. drug just because one person had an alergic reaction to it, and assumed literally everyone gets totally forgety and almost dies from it, we'd have a pretty forgeted up medical system.

Here's some news for you, and I'm surprised you haven't seen my statement before:

Everyone does weed. Literally people you don't expect. People from all ages. Its those people that you don't bat an eye to. Yet when someone acts like a cunt and makes a big deal of it, you assume that it's the whole user base.

yeah marijuana has something like 4x the tar content of tobacco
BUT you can vape weed instead to avoid smoking it, and even if you're smoking it you're obviously going to smoke less marijuana than your typical cigarette smoker smokes tobacco. also cigarettes have lots of additives that make them worse for you

if anyone wants to know my true stance on this issue:
i believe that weed should be legal for recreational use on your own property only (and other people's property that invite you inside to do it)
you cannot drive while high in same way you can't drive while drunk and you cannot smoke it and be high in public
you should be able to buy it from legal distributors that have a license to sell it and a regular shop license
18 years should be the minimum age limit for buying and using
