Like most multiplayer FPS, you can only have more fun if you play with other people. I'd recommend renting it again and playing with people you know.

EDIT: also I was online the day BattlEye was welcomed into this game, and the constant string of ban messages was so goddamn pleasing to me. Like a beautiful cleansing that the hackers didn't even see coming. The game definitely took a good step with that move.
