Author Topic: Blockland starts up with a black screen  (Read 8673 times)

Blockland recently has been starting up with a black screen. I can click the buttons, but it doesn't show BLOCKLAND, Start A Game, etc.

Temporarily re-name your Add-Ons folder to something else so that Blockland will load without add-ons. Then try again.

worked the first time, the other times it failed to do so.

has anything changed between when it was working and when it stopped working?

did you move the addons back after testing renaming them?

does it work on a clean install, and does it work after rebooting it a few times?

I moved the addons back, still didnt work

Plus, I tried a clean install.

IT DIDNT FREAKING WORK

Plus, I tried a clean install.
so renaming the blockland folder to blockland2, and redownloading it, and it's still a black screen?

do you have multiple graphics cards?
try updating your NVidia drivers

and asking again, since you seem to have neglected responding to this (probably one of the more important questions)

I'm also having this DUMB freaking problem.
I can agree with fail bros here
because
everything
DID NOT FREAKIN' WORK

stop with the big text

alright then
how do i upgrade nvidia and graphics cards

on the bottom right of your task bar you should have the NVidia icon, click it and select "check for updates"
if need be, launch the GUI and follow the onscreen instructions (click update)

Try 1: worked
Try 2: crashed
Try 3: black screen

Try 1: worked
Try 2: crashed
Try 3: black screen
and this was all at once?
like blockland was working, then you relaunched and it crashed, and then from then on a black screen?
seems like a clean reinstall should fix anything that could have broken it when it crashed

that was after the clean reinstall

about the NVidia thing, it said it wasnt compatible with my computer.

that was after the clean reinstall
so each time you reinstall the game, it works once?
or only the first time you reinstalled it worked?

are you using a NVidia graphics card?
or are the updates just not supported on it?
