Author Topic: My computer is having serious issues  (Read 1397 times)

My computer is almost 3 years old and I've recently started to notice that it is having a few issues. Normally computers shouldn't be dying on the 3rd year of it's span so idk what's wrong with it. The main problem is whenever I turn it on from the button the computer lights up but it does not fully boot up meaning if I go to my Benq monitor it will tell me that no signal was found and I can also see that it is not properly on because my Razer deathadder chroma hasn't lighted up either. So I have to repetitively turn on and off the computer until it fully boots up. The light next to the computer, the hard drive light, whenever it does not fully boot up the hard drive light flashes for a few seconds then completely shuts off. When the computer actually does fully boot up I notice that my razer deathadder chroma starts flashing colors like its supposed to and the hard drive light is now properly on. But this process to make it fully boot up is an annoyance and seems to be showing some issues with the computer.

Another thing, if my computer does break, does anyone know a cloud that I can use so I can store some of my files before it forgets up?

If you have a Microsoft account, you can use OneDrive. If your files are bigger than its space, you might want to upgrade to something like MediaFire Pro with 1TB space or something like that.

Thanks, I'll try using them

It's a long shot, but you can try opening the case up, getting compressed air and just dusting the stuff out of it.

Ive also heard that the capacitors are usually the first things that break in computers, and replacing them can fix things alot of the time

You might be able to tell if its broken by applying a voltmeter to it

Ontop of that shouldn't there be a diagnostics log after a boot up? Your hardware might have detectors sounding off problems into a log somewhere

Answer me this first -- you've opened it up, at least once, and took a vacuum on very dusty parts? You've cleaned out filters, if any? You've replaced CPU thermal paste? You've made sure your PSU is still enough power? Have you upgraded it anytime recently?

took a vacuum on very dusty parts?

you should never vacuum a computer

i do like one of those lower powered ones that are just for dust

it sucks it back up!

my little usb one has never forgeted up my computers

Watch out with this frequent turning on and off, it can do harm on your windows OS as well, I did that with my computer which had a issue with the monitor or the graphics card, and now I can't boot up to Safe Mode either since one of the boot files got corrupted after I turned it off and on over and over.
