Author Topic: Authentication: Validating key ;-;  (Read 3902 times)

First of all:
(also its both steam and non steam ( i have 1 steam key and 2 normal keys)
tried portforwarding
tried reinstalling
tried DNS server stuff
tried key.dat
tried retrying a hundred times
tried waiting
checked all firewall anti virus etc.
i've checked all the sites
keep in mind: i live in australia
No proxy

and nothing has worked for me and the console log will be below i have also probably forgotten stuff but what ever.the key wont authenticate and stays at "authentication validating key..." forever
also what are the chances that it goes a way halfway through working out the problem?
and the old key i had (and need to get back) whos name is "Random Player" (or it may be person) used to work so Im stumped

Do you try to connect from a public place?
Most of the time they block certain ports, making you unable to validate.

An other thing (which I know you tried) is that your connection gets blocked by a firewall.
So turn it off completely for a minute to see if that is the case.

it should just display "auth.blockland.us" on the page

Make sure your Windows firewall is disabled too.
And if that still doesn't work, disable norton completely too.

he's not needed right now unless cloudflare blocks you

i wouldnt know what Cloudflare is anyway
and my ISP would be Telstra
my firewall is controlled by norton so i have to disable norton anyway i think

cloudflare attempts to block out DoS/DDoS attacks on servers it's protecting

norton is re-enabling itself WTF

i dunno how to disable norton alltogether :/
