I miss servers like Survive the Flood (although rising lava is kinda similar i guess) and creeper. We still have super creeper, but afaik theres only 1 - 2 maps for it and almost no one hosts it

Next to freebuilds, I think the, excuse my pun, chillest kinds of servers were the ones hosted at slopes, in particular the ones where you and a bunch of other people ski down courses. It felt very impromptu, just watching like an admin paint down flags down a path, and didn't really seem to require too much administration to keep it going. I've yet to see an equivalent made with terrain bricks, and at times I feel like the skis have lost their worth

RPG servers. those are really fun. and simple deathmatch servers. the ones using a default map or a some random map.
and Endless zombies servers. and actual fun fortwars with lots of weapons and vehicles, bricks you can use.

Community builds, mini empires without the RP element, simple cityRPGs, DMs with classic weapons, good trench servers, good dogfights.

Mass player dogfight servers that actually utilize the correct amount of vehicles without it being a slaughter fest.

Oh and also objective based death matches. Those are some of the best servers I've played, Redpikmin's server did this well.

also all of The Brighter Dark's servers were good, same with Bushido

crouchracing is always fun as well

i miss classic trench servers, I think the first trench tdm i ever joined was one made by Xalos, there was 4 teams and everyone had a c4, classic sniper, and a default gun. There was also lava so people had to make bridges.
