{About the Xenomorph Hives}
Greetings Dr. Weyland, I've finally finished my observations for this week on the Hive we've managed to tame. Here's what I got.
Xenomorph hives are an large under/above-ground facility. Much larger than the old Boeing Facility, where they built the planes. in the rough center of the hive, there's the chamber for the Queen. The material of the high appears to be a mixture of resin, old Xenomorph corpses, and scrap-metal. The scrap metal seems to be being used as makeshift doors in a way, as they have used these to block off vents, and other passages. now, there is aprox. 40 eggs in here at once, but this is a smaller hive.
These Xenomorphs appear to be much more evolved, however. I'll explain from the Drone / Warrior, since the 'Bursters and Facehuggers barely seem different. So, the Drones / Warriors appear more armored, and fleshed out. Almost human skin in texture, The front of the dome to their head appears more translucent, allowing people to see the skull. Scare tactic, Maybe? There's also an sort of mane on them. As they have hair-like parts on their heads and necks. There is 6 dorsal spikes on their.. well.. Dorsal. The tail seems the same as the other hives, but the end of the tail is barbed. Painful. The arms have these strange.. Armor plate spike things. They seem armored like the chitin on their thighs and lower calves. They also appear to have the Queen's "High-Heel" toe. Blame Hicks for that. Another interesting thing is that they have spikes on their knuckles, maybe trying to imitate Brass-Knuckles?
The Praetorian isn't much different. They have the same hairs, H-H Toe, barbed tail (more spikes. ow), Chitin armor plates, etc. But the head has a lot more of this.. hair. it runs from the front of their head, all the way back. And from the chin down to the collar-bone. There's also the developing 2nd pair of arms on it's chest. They seem fused into the torso for now.
Oh-oh-oh. The Queen is the most interesting, however.
The Queen stands about 20 feet in height, not counting that crowned-crest of theirs. The same hair as the Praetorian, The tail end has less barbs. Yay..? Another pair of back spines has grown, and webbing has filled the lower connections. The arm chitin has formed large dual stage blades of some sort. Kindof like if you have two knives taped together at the hilt. Another finger has sprouted from the main hands, making a total of 6 individual fingers. The ovipositor seems to be slightly armored, as to keep it safe. Now, the most interesting thing about the queen, is the crest. As it is almost literally a crown of thorns. There is a stuff-ton of serrated spikes jutting out from it. Reminds me of that "King" Xenomorph Experiment. I guess you could call the Xenomorph Queen the T-rex of the future. Because loving hell, it reminds me of one.
That's all I have about this at this moment. We're trying to introduce more species to see the results.
