Then you have a very unique brain because majority of people can not remember something from seeing it once unless it is a life changing event.

homework forces you to practice skills that you learned in class (atleast that's what it should be used for). if you didn't do homework you would probably find that you would be doing poorly on your tests/quizzes because you wouldn't have the experience with the material you're being tested on

homework works if it's good homework. math homework is almost exclusively a good thing because it forces you to recognize the concepts, while history homework can be really hit-or-miss depending on what it is. most history homework i've been assigned has been really stupid and time wasting with very little benefit to me.

my math teacher made us learn the quadratic formula through a song

[to the tune of frere jacques/call and response]
opposite of b,
plus or minus square root of,
b squared minus 4ac,
all over 2a

I know the title says "not traffic" but there's nothing that ticks me off more than these loving starfishs that leave their cars stopped on the side of the road, blocking transit.

I can't think of how that songs fits. I'm singing the song in my head trying to make the lyrics fit, but they don't. The number of syllables just doesn't match

My class learned it with pop goes the weasel

But yeah math homework was usually useful for me,  although i personally found the amount to be excessive.  I got the concept after a couple problems but we always had like 10 per concept
Homework for other classes was garbage though, and always seemed like it was just filler to pad the grades if you bombed a test. But homework was killer to me, because I'd forget it, and get low grades even though i aced all the tests.
My high school economics class was feared, because the teacher didn't give any homework at all, and your grade came entirely from tests, which most people where bad at. But I passed that stuff at the top of the class

warning possible cringe inside

also my voice sounds vastly different inside of my head

I'm mildily annoyed that I can't figure out a way to make my car horn only work with the ignition on.
