Author Topic: Constant disconnections from pinging servers [ISP/Firewall Oriented]  (Read 1776 times)

I've had this issue for almost a year and as someone who likes to host it's been killing me on the inside.

I've determined that it is ISP/Firewall oriented. I know this because no matter what condition the install is or what server I'm on, my client always disconnects. It happens more on dedicated servers. I can rejoin as soon as I refresh the master list. It's not blocking me from playing entirely, but I can't play numerous gamemodes involving long rounds because of this issue.

Any help at this point would be appreciated. I've almost quit Blockland four times because of how tiring this issue is.

I hate to say it, but calling Comcast customer service is probably your best course of action to get the issue fixed. They are a pain. Good luck.

I'm just on a small local business. If I contact them I need to know what I'm talking about in terms of what I need unblocked if it's the ISP doing it to me.

You had the same problem on a different network right?
Because you could try to reset your router.
Although if you already had it for over a year, it should have already happened.

Is the router from Comcast or is it your own?
Because if the IP lease time is set to low, it will keep disconnecting you.
It should be set to a day at least.

Instead of calling support, you could also make a topic on their forums.

Okay, I realized that my language wasn't clear on my original topic.

Im not on Comcast. I was on someone else's Comcast WI-FI. After trying Blockland on their WI-FI again, it doesn't time out. I'm just on a small local ISP because I live in the middle of nowhere.

Still, I'll try contacted their service.
