if that's the best they have they're roughly 71 years behind in nuclear technology

u kidding me? my fist can generate more than 10 kt

The US yielded 15 MEGAtonnes in 1954, they are nowhere near today's capability.

You people joke around about North Korea but if any of you were captured you'd be in North Korea's labor camps for loving 10 years crying your eyes out.

Which actually happened to an American tourist who thought he was loving funny, lol.

their nuclear capacity has nearly tripled since the program began, so this is concerning news no matter how small the yield

not to mention their advances in rocketry and miniaturization

The US yielded 15 MEGAtonnes in 1954, they are nowhere near today's capability.
ivy mike was a hydrogen bomb, so the comparison isn't entirely equivalent

I do agree that they're far behind today's capability, though

North Korea is technologically advanced

If this was 1950

It's still a weaponisable concept, something which Korea can't reach even with 10kt.
I agree, however, that the rate of growth is worrying, though I don't believe they will reach a feasible concept for intercontinental nuclear strikes before their leader dies of old age.

in response to north korea's most recent nuclear test, south korea has unveiled its plan to "raze pyongyang to the ground" and turn it to "ashes" at the first sign of a nuclear launch. things are heating up in the land of the morning calm.

whereas countries like the US and china prepare their list of grievances (sanctions) against the north, south korea has taken an unexpectedly aggressive stance.

i want global thermonuclear war

well... yeah... i mean thats generally the plan from any country, to any country that launches a nuke.

i thought this was common knowledge for how this all works. is SK new to this?

NK has never launched a nuke. in fact i dont believe any nation as for a long time.
none of this even apply to testing nukes or testing rockets.

Are the north koreans the misunderstood good guys retaliating against a tyrannical neighbor?

South Korea will get decimated by an artillery strike anyways lol.
