more of a humorous bit of news today, supreme leader kim jong-un has banned sarcasm because he fears his subjects only agree with him ironically. phrases like "this is all america's fault" are considered disingenuous, and therefore are now illegal to utter -- sarcastically, of course.

the north korean constitution officially declares that the state will uphold freedom of speech and whatnot, but that's clearly been in violation long before this gag order.

nice job, kim.

in response to north korea's most recent nuclear test, south korea has unveiled its plan to "raze pyongyang to the ground" and turn it to "ashes" at the first sign of a nuclear launch. things are heating up in the land of the morning calm.

whereas countries like the US and china prepare their list of grievances (sanctions) against the north, south korea has taken an unexpectedly aggressive stance.

north korea has announced that it will begin preparations for another nuclear test despite global condemnation. additionally, what was once estimated to be a 10 kiloton blast is now being reevaluated at 20 or even 30 kilotons, placing it at nearly double the strength of hiroshima.
