I mean... yea. Conservatism inherently opposes science. By definition, they believe in sticking to traditional beliefs rather than advancing based on new research.
I wouldn't make this generalization tbh. Conservatives are well-known for climate-change denialism, but they don't have a monopoly on anti-scientific thought. For instance, liberals make up the bulk of the anti-nuclear and anti-GMO sects, which are both firmly anti-science groups.

Also, a lot of the conservative opposition to environmentalism comes from an opposition to governmental regulatory overreach, not necessarily an opposition to the science. There are many prominent conservatives that accept the scientific consensus on climate change, but oppose environmental regulations because they believe that the free market can eventually resolve environmental issues. In my opinion, it's still stupid, but it's a different brand of stupid than anti-science.

^ I'm not saying that all Conservatives dislike science, I'm saying that as a matter of ideology it opposes their standard beliefs. Just like how not all Liberals agree with science, even though it is a part of their standard beliefs. There are always gonna be outliers.

Kinda like how not all members of the national socialist Party will dislike Jews, just the vast majority of them will, since it's an inherent part of the ideology.

Gonna lock this, because it should be obvious why.
