Author Topic: BioShock 1 & 2 Remastered are free to owners of the originals (PC)  (Read 1974 times)

The remastered editions of BioShock 1 and 2 were added to Steam today for BioShock: The Collection, and you get a nice upgrade of whatever you already own for free, it should already be in your library

Just a heads up for people like me who have a huge list of categorized games on top of the default "Games" section and would never notice otherwise

Don't own them, but ty for telling me that.

I didn't even notice, thanks!

Looks like BioShock 1 got a new difficulty- "Survivor"
Seriously <3ing this.
I just wish they had fixed the mouse acceleration issues in the remaster :(

i feel like they were a little lazy with this remaster to be honest

According to the reviews, both the 1 and 2 remasters have a bunch of bugs the original games had, even ones that were patched out, and someone said that they lack a FOV slider

not even that i mean like it doesnt look like theres much of a difference.

Different textures and a tad bit improved lighting.
Not sure I'm a big fan of them coining the term "Remaster" though.
Buyers might be tricked into thinking it's a super-mega-vast improvement when it's more of a medium one.

Didn't even know they were remastered. Maybe now I have incentive to actually play them now that they have achievements.

Are the physics objects still rendered at 30fps?

Nope, just looked. :D

I believe there is an .ini file somewhere that will let you change your fov to higher values. I forget which file it is though.

bioshock 1 also has the ps3 exclusive dlc
