but ya i think people are definitely at the very least less enthusiastic about the show now, but the community will obvs always be there

there is a reason why so many people call it the worst fandom of all time. these people are the vocal minority, but the amount of damage they have done is inexcusable. telling people to kill themselves over fanart, telling people that they deserve to die because they cosplay characters that don't share their skin color (but they're purple so no one in the world shares their skin color...) and i think at one point they drove an SU writer off of tumblr too, because they were outraged at some minor inconsistency

being in this fandom is like living in a totalitarian dictatorship. these people want complete control of what everyone thinks, makes, writes, etc. it's sickening

it's still a mystery to me how a cute, happy show like steven universe with all of its positive messages & good vibes could possibly have attracted such a crowd of genuine monsters, but this is just how it is. SU is the worst fandom. they have proven it time and time again and will probably continue to do so for many more years

Yeah from what I've seen the SU fandom is small but many of them are really vile people. Not saying all of em but definitely at least a vocal minority.

loving love the show, it's something I'd never expect to come out of Cartoon Network. However, that entire post proves the point that people can't have nice things. Because starfishs like that literally live to demolish and ruin the communities they involve themselves in.

I wont invest my time into the fandom, I'll just stay quiet and watch the show like a smart person.
