I'd imagine it would be dependent on how they were created, and what for. If you gave a robot sentient thought and an artificial life, but he was designed ultimately to be a computer, then it should only be granted the rights his creator(s) have given it. If it was a robot designed for human brown townysis or for psychotherapy, or to essentially act like a metal-MAN, then I suppose it should be granted rights.
Like I said before though, it would be dependent on how they were created and what their use is.
