I think the time has come for day - night mode.

This mod should include:

- Time of day change. Ex: 5 minutes
- Selection of sky.
- Sun movement.

Discuss...

Or you could just use the editer and turn down the light.

O I see well for the automated moving sun, I know theres one in the GTA SAN. maps, but this would be cool.

Without using Mission Editor, please...

You could do it with a hidden particle emitter that either outputs light or eats it up and change it automatically through a script.

The problem is the changing of how light it is since clients don't update lighting, but that just gave me an idea!

If you dont want to believe me go ahead. I'll sit here with my funtastic moving suns and camping trips.

Badspot should add it to v10.

I'm not 100% on this, but why wouldn't changing the sun color and ambiance update client-side? I've been on some servers (as a client) before where the host changed the sun to a different color and light level, it changed for me as well. I suppose I'll have to see if what you say is true later.
