Author Topic: YouTube introduces system rewarding censorship  (Read 7832 times)

i think you guys are severely misinterpreting this. it's essentially a system that allows you to become a youtube 'admin' over time if you get rid of enough garbage spam comments/videos. when they say take down offensive videos, they mean like the things that have been considered flaggable for years now that nobody has had any gripes with.

and the "mass flagging" thing is a perk given to people deemed responsible enough to reach a certain "level," and i assume it will function as a convenient way to flag spam/duplicate videos. or it may give you the ability to mass-flag a ton of research/other non-allowed videos at once.

one of the biggest complaints with youtube is the garbage polluting the comment section, and now they're actually giving people the means to fix it. i honestly think this could be a tangible improvement over youtube as it is now.

And there might not be any censorship of alt right and or SJW critical opinions as long ass the people expressing them don't start the usual bullying/harassment carnival where some people like Milo outright admit that they enjoy provoking other people. Sorry, but you're not a visionary, just a cynical loser.

The people complaining about this are the ones who like trolling comment sections all day.

The comments section is what makes YouTube so great. Half the time that's why I click on a video in the first place. Boo hoo people say mean stuff there. Get over and don't scroll down.

It's not the mean comments.
It's the spam, nonsense, and other non-related things. We see enough of that here.

i liked the video up until the point of mass flagging videos.

Well yeah I hate it when friends spam "lizard army hiss" and other stuff like that but we both know it's also going to be used to police "hate speech" (in other words when someone is losing an argument in the comments section they will lash out and try to mass report every one of that persons comments)

Well I mean... That already happens. Now they just get brownie points for it.

i signed up for the program.

Good example of somebody who won't be making the youtube heroes program

Only tier 5 is good as a system. You can review new features before release and give your opinion on them. Everything else is just gonna segment the youtube community.

Also, it really just helps SJWs and false flaggers. Thanks youtube.

Dailymotion.
I searched that up, looked in images and found a girl who had half her face blown off
