Author Topic: Good free to play games?  (Read 1606 times)

I'm poor and I need more games to play. Also my computer is pretty crappy (between 30 to 10 fps on TF2).

If you like to play FPS games, then i recommend you TOXIKK, they have a free version

Build and Shoot is basically the classic variant Ace of Spades and is real damn fun
There's also Battlefield 2(142) which have both been revived by a couple of godsends which is also fun (and has bots that can blow your stuff up with an accurate as hell grenade)
If you can, find the wad for doom (preferablly doom 2) and get REELism, 6 rounds of 3 random modifications for said round and a boss (if you're playing standard, there's a few other gamemodes, a whole bunch of reels, very good maps, and a stuffton of weapons)
SS13.

The Powder Toy
its like those powder games but its ramped up to 14, no not 12, 14

Nexuiz. It's kinda like quake, or it's a quake mod that made its way into a standalone. I'm not entirely sure.

Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, are both free.

Arena, Daggerfall, if you like old-school MSDOS RPGs

Starmade is also free I think? Unless that's just the beta.

SpaceEngine, it isn't so much a game, but a universe exploration thing. You can visit star systems and galaxies and take screenshots and the like. Everything that we actually have mapped out is accurately (as far as we can tell) represented in the starmap. Anything beyond is procedurally generated, including stars, nebulae, galaxies, etc.

I've been playing a lot of Brawlhalla (available on Steam for free). It is like Super Smash Bros. but in my opinion, a lot more fun.

Here is a video:

Block N Load.

Great shooter IMO and only skins cost any real money.

Also

Build and Shoot

Clustertruck Alpha

it's gr8
free
short and singleplayer but if you like it you should buy the whole game on steam

Battle for Wesnoth if you like fire emblem/advance wars style games.

Gang Garrison 2 is a nice pickup game tf2 demake

Maybe the black mesa pre-steam version, if that's still floating around. Essentially HL1 but with modern graphics and a tiny bit of tweaking in terms of balance

realm of the mad god is still pretty alright

pretty sure it's separate from quake
used to play a fair amount of nexuiz, and it was and still is pretty entertaining

Sonic Robo Blast 2
MegaMan 8 bit Deathmatch
Mari0
