Seems like a pretty great all-around device from what I can tell right now.
EDIT: Phone is exclusive to Verizon in the US, at least that's the carrier I'm on.

It looks good, but the name is kind of handicapped

this is a S P I C Y loving PHONE

hate the back, the front just looks like an iphone without home button to me

the front just looks like an iphone without home button to me

that makes it inherently better

They had me at headphone jack.

I can't wait for the unstoppable google business machine to animalistically massacre all these dubiously sub-par smartphone manufacturers

I, for one, welcome our new Google overlords

They actually fired shots at Apple multiple times throughout their presentation, saying how the phone has no camera bulge, has a headphone jack, and has unlimited photo/video storage. Pretty good, I know.

didn't this already exist as the nexus, or am i confused??

yeah i mean they're already probing our starfishs so there's really no point in clenching that sphincter

At this price point I'd much rather pick up a Oneplus 3, which has similar specs (better in some regards), comparable build quality (from what I can tell, I've held neither phone of course), a perhaps not quite-as-good-but-still-fantastic camera, and base of 64 GB of storage for $400 instead of this, which is overpriced IMO. I get that you're getting Google Assistant and faster updates because it's a Google device, but I'm not sure if those are worth the $250 more that you're paying for this over the Oneplus 3.

It's unlocked if you buy it straight from google and they said it works on all the major carriers.

Other than the design, I like the good camera, google assistant, unlimited photos/videos.
Google is definitely aiming for the actual high-end, and the price proves it

seems like they're trying to win over apple fans with that design. looks ugly imo

nexus series phones are manufactured by other companies for google, i think with this phone google is manufacturing it themselves

yeah, i would've been really surprised if they didn't have the phone set up to work with project fi
