obviously nothing is confirmed yet, but i don't think it'd be unexpected for nintendo to follow up splatoon with a sequel on its next console. i mean, it's a pretty forgetin successful new IP

Oh of course. And I'm sure they're aware that people seeing it means people will expect it. There's a good chance of it happening.

Remember, a tech demo is something not even comparable to the size of a full game, and is only for the demonstration of the new hardware. (Example: Super Mario 128 (testing the GameCube's power), New Super Mario Bros. Mii (testing the Off-TV play)).
A tech demo can be a lot of things. Do you remember Half Life 2: Lost Coast? It was a standalone, fully playable, fully complete HL2 level. And a good amount of playtime, too, not just a couple things to look at.  And it was just a tech demo for HDR

stuff i just noticed there are new pants on them too

we shouldn't call it a fraud yet though
the footage was edited on which isn't exactly all promising but it looks like gameplay more than animations
also, the fps decrease from the zelda game when they unplugged it was probably because of some random excuse, they wouldn't show us garbage if its fake now would they
