Youtube taking years to upload a video

I am currentley trying to upload a 9 minute long video to youtube and I uploaded it at 6:30 PM. The time now is 12:06 in the loving morning and it is still not uploading. It's at 25% I am incredibly fustrated with this. Is there any fix?

my videos usually take 1-2 hours depending on the time of the video

im not too experienced with videos and whatnot. what format is your video?

could be internet speed as well

don't upload .avi's, they take forever
use MP4 or WMV

I knew it had something to do with the file format because the other time I uploaded a 20 second vid it took 3 hours to do it

it's a bit of a shame tbh that it's forgeted. Is my upload thing alright though?

avi is lossless (or close to it) so the file sizes are large
