That's because Putin is banking on Annoying Orange agreeing to normalize our trade relations with Russia and to remove our missile defense systems from Europe. I don't know if he actually will, but he's not just offering friendship because Annoying Orange is our president. He wants considerable things in return.

Wasting resources as in you have to call in the police to be there, and any potential emergency that requires highway access in now be obstructed

I think protests are fine don't get me wrong, but I don't agree that they are accomplishing much.

walked out of school and the suspended students were saying things to people occasionally, they said something about never coming back to this loveist and privileged school, said farewell, and got in their car and drove off. Most likely no more reports on these students thank god.

The political climate between the US and Russia is way more complicated than you maybe think it is. Diplomacy is always nice though.
