Are the types random or do you get to choose the type you want to be?
probably options for both choices. the mod itself is a learning experience to dive into scripting and GUI interfaces; as i already have too many projects on my hands, the initial plans for this when it gets to a releasing point is to have it customizable in almost all aspects including user made extensions to the core content, which includes options for controlling the normal player catches player and player catching bots if i can figure out proper ways to handle combat for the latter. the other major configurations to this will most likely include the pokemon GO teams if anyone so wishes just for the sake of competition between players, and setting up gyms and adjusting badges and types. it's probably way too ambitious for my current knowledge but it's been interesting learning new things.
How are you going to do the battling?
the best way to go about it is probably real time combat if it's player vs player, with turn based like the original games for player vs bots because i have several doubts in bot intelligence. player vs bot might have potential for real time combat but i would need someone who understands AI to tell me what's probably better for both cases. in the end it's sort of undecided right now
anyways these are all the models i have done for them so far. not all of them are in-game or functional but there's pretty icons for them. haven't worked on any of these for about a month or two since i'm doing a lot of other stuff right now.
