Author Topic: Need help with computer build  (Read 1413 times)

Hello, i was wondering if anyone with an experience with PC builds would suggest a computer build slightly under 2000$ that can run Arma 2 and other games,

EDIT: I would also ask if the monitor and keyboard/mouse also be included because i've used the same laptop since forever

Speakers are optional
You can change the case as long as its ATX. but the current one is very good.
GPU is p OP for 1080p but who cares. i7 goes very good with ArmA games, or any game with loads of AI (like ArmA)
2TB WD black for super speeds and a samsung EVO 500GB for superder speeds
FullHD 144Hz 1ms monitor

Wrong list
Oops

With $2000, you can get a really damn beefy PC. To be honest, ARMA II doesn't really need THAT insane of a PC.

The above build is a fully decked-out "insane" PC that has all the bells and whistles to max out every single modern game at crazy framerates. If you ever get a 4K TV, you are in luck with this.
If you'd rather prefer more of just a $1000 or even less PC, I can do that as well, just let me know and I can put together a part list for that.
EDIT: Managed to squeeze in a mouse/keyboard combo and a monitor, not really the best out there but it gets the job done.

i like this, but i changed the case to something more modest & cheaper, switched to a non-k i7 (i don't think op will ever consider oc'ing and it costs less), and i threw in a 24" monitor because gaming on anything smaller is just unacceptable

My older AMD Athlon x4 840k/GTX 960 is able to run ARMA 3 at a good 40-50 FPS, and that setup was about $700

but if your budget is $2000, just get a really good rig, my current i5 6600k/GTX1070 works wonders and I'll never regret buying this thing, and this costed me $1400

With such a beefy build, overclocking can really push it to be even faster. That motherboard has a game boost function to auto overclock I think.

oh yeah and with a rig like mine you should have money leftover for a Vive c:

I like this build, i don't want to overclock cause i heard it can break computers, and i want to keep it nice, preferably up till my college years, and even older, also if anyone can reference me to any PC build guides that work for new computer gamers like me just let me know, thanks for helping me with this, keep it up!

EDIT: if anyone else wants to show me their builds that work please let me know!
