i got dead by daylight recently and so far it's been great
being a survivor is actually a lot more fun than you'd think since you have to outwit an actual person, it's pretty cool to pull gimmicks and tricks on actual people in a horror game rather than on a computer controlled monster
on the flipside it's just as fun to catch on to a survivor's tricks as the killer and catch them off guard
i've only used the trapper as a killer so far but forcing survivors to run into bear traps, creating zones where they're forced to lose distance on you, or setting the bear traps up in gimmicky spots like right around corners so they run into them right after getting off a hook have been the best moments
killer also has a really low lobby wait too since a lot more people use survivors, so if you're flying solo you can jump into a game really quickly by picking the killer
all in all it's a game that's both really fun with or without friends to play it with
unfortunately it really isn't a scary game, but it can definitely get tense at some points. i'd call it more of an exhilarating game, it's really exciting to be chased down or chase down, it's especially fun if the killer is really good and flanks, pulls tricks, etc. even if they're bad it's fun because they can still chase and kill you
