did he mention dlc
for mario kart
???
??
yeah there's dlc for mario kart 8, been around for a while

alright ive been talking stuff about their money grabbing but if they adjust some stuff and actually execute it well, it wont be bad. its looking like a forgetin ripoff right now, though.

what im trying to say is just loving lower the price of the pro controller and half of the problems are negligible as a result

adjust some of what stuff

you can't just be vague about it

let people keep monthly games / lay out predetermined monthly free games
lower the price of the damn controllers
include games that nobody would buy otherwise like 1 2 switch in a bundle with the console
lower the price of the charging grip

Agree

lower the price of the damn controllers
The only way they could do this would be to take away features and lower the durability of the controllers. The amount of features that they've managed to put into these things, and how durable Nintendo makes everything is what makes them cost as much as they do. Sorry, but it won't happen until months after release.

This would raise the release cost up 40 dollars or more. I agree with this but it will just raise the price for everyone.

lower the price of the charging grip
It's only 30 loving dollars though, how cheap are you?

yeah, i think most people agree that the controller prices hurt a lil bit too much. i'm sure there's reason for it and everything, but it is obvs a problem for a lot of people. i hope we'll see third party solutions pretty quickly at a more affordable price, because that is going to turn a lot of people off. i'd love to use the pro controller, for docked mode but that price tag is really hard for me to justify reaching for unless there's a title that i absolutely feel like i need it for. i kinda don't expect to need more joy-cons tho since i feel like anyone i would want to play with would probably be people who would get a switch for themselves anyway

pro controllers are arguably not any better than a ps4 or xbox 1 controller, but you can get those for roughly $20-$30 cheaper than the pro controller.

its a cheap plastic grip that performs the same function as a $3 usb cord, it couldnt possibly cost much to manufacture at all. they're overcharging for a slightly more convenient way to keep yoir controllers charged.

I thought you were talking about the joycons

This is Nintendo we're talking about. They're known for making their products durable as stuff along with lasting quite a long time. The cost of materials in the charging unit as well as making it work good whilst being durable is what is making it cost a MEASLY 30 dollars. Plus 99% chance they're using a lithium-ion battery, those aren't cheap

probably should have specified, i just really want them to lower the price of the pro controller

if you get a pro controller then you have more time that you dont need to use your joycons, meaning its less likely that youll have to take them off the switch for long periods of time and drain their battery.

i feel like the joy-con charging grip is decently priced for what it is, maybe a bit more than i'd expect ($15-25 seems about what i would expect to pay for it, so it's not too far off).. i kinda expected that to be included in the console tho ';. - 0

how do they usually charge tho? i read from here that they can charge by being attached to the docked switch, tho i hope that's not the case because i don't expect to be bringing the dock with me wherever i go for obvious reasons

edit: seems like IGN was just being weird

this says there's 20 hours of battery life though in each joy-con and that seems fine

o

iirc Nintendo is planning to put in quite a few of the Joycon's features into the pro controller, like the haptic feedback and motion controls. That along with the sturdy materials Nintendo uses may be why the price is kinda steep.

if the wii u pro controllers are compatible with the switch that would make me a very happy boy, i feel like i would like to use it more anyways and i already have two
