Wait does it matter if the polling is 50 50?

This severely stupid.
your only defending it because you wont be able to vote!!!!!!

Let's bar everyone except me from voting and while we're at it let's make it so I'm the only one who can run for any position

I'm keeping voters from selecting the incorrect option by accident. It's a far more ideal form of administration

Up until this point I just thought op was a right-winger, which is perfectly fine and I can respect that, but this thread makes clear OrangeMan is some degree of national socialist.

I don't really care if you call yourself a patriot. I'm not saying you're not a patriot. But you're speaking in favor of eugenics, literacy tests, and restricted voting... you are a national socialist.

No. Mental conditions is such a vague term that it'd likely used by both sides to prevent people from voting.

The left would likely argue that: "Extreme conservatism" is a mental condition.
The right would likely argue that: "Homoloveuality and transloveuality" are mental conditions.

Neither of these impend one's ability to vote, so any form of prevention of voting over "mental conditions" would be vastly abused and mostly difficult for people to deal with.

honestly tho, are there any laws or anything against what mental state you have to be in to vote? i dont think ex-criminals that are very mentally unstable should be able to vote, i dont think people with downs syndrome should be able to vote. not because theyre not citizens of the us, but their opinion shouldn't be factored into the betterment of the country imo

Orange isn't a national socialist, he's a troll

you don't get to decide which citizens' opinions are more important in a democratic system. it's absolutely essential that votes are equal and that participation is as high as possible so that our government can be as representative as possible.

People with down syndrome in many states are already denied the right to vote, or at least they must appear before a judge to prove their competency. Which I consider reasonable. But barring a cross section of the American population the right to vote because they fit a certain profile is problematic for many reasons.

is more of what im referring too. i dont think people that are declared mentally unstable in a serious way should be able to vote. im not saying every person whose every been to a psychiatrist should be banned from voting or something. but if youre in a psychiatric ward or something, or you have dementia, shouldn't be voting.
