in my opinion, conservatives seem to believe in "freedom" as long as it fits their definition of freedom
on the other hand, liberals seem to want to push towards their idea of a utopia even if it means possibly compromising on traditional "freedoms"
the best way, again in my opinion, to go about most decisions is to try and find a fine line of compromise but distancing yourself from either side as much as possible and distancing yourself from emotions and basing a decision on what is constitutional and most beneficial and least detrimental as a whole
things such as gay marriage or even transgenders using the restroom of their choice. conservatives seemed to oppose these for the most part where liberals were mostly accepting to the ideas. i tried to take a step back and look at the issues and i decided whatever let gays marry and transgender people use whatever restroom they feel like because i realized it doesn't affect me, its none of my business anyways, and frankly i dont give a forget
the best thing to do is to walk the fine line between the two
