Author Topic: why do liberals hate freedom and want less rights?  (Read 6317 times)

because many people fear the unknown and that that they cannot control.

in my opinion, conservatives seem to believe in "freedom" as long as it fits their definition of freedom

on the other hand, liberals seem to want to push towards their idea of a utopia even if it means possibly compromising on traditional "freedoms"

the best way, again in my opinion, to go about most decisions is to try and find a fine line of compromise but distancing yourself from either side as much as possible and distancing yourself from emotions and basing a decision on what is constitutional and most beneficial and least detrimental as a whole

things such as gay marriage or even transgenders using the restroom of their choice. conservatives seemed to oppose these for the most part where liberals were mostly accepting to the ideas. i tried to take a step back and look at the issues and i decided whatever let gays marry and transgender people use whatever restroom they feel like because i realized it doesn't affect me, its none of my business anyways, and frankly i dont give a forget

the best thing to do is to walk the fine line between the two

can I just say that this is the most direct and up front trolling I've ever seen

why does thread not lock itself?

yeah, it's disappointing. stocking just doesn't have that "it" factor that tony does. she doesn't leave us in suspense, wondering whether she's a troll or if she really thinks the stupid things she says. really ruins the whole experience. stocking and orangeman should take classes for this sort of thing because they don't do it well enough.

or maybe tony just spoiled us.

idk Stocking I'm a left leaning guy and I am in favor of all those freedoms

no I like this more than tony
it's funnier just how blunt she is

Look at this face, this is the face of pure evil. Don't beleive what it SAYS

i feel like trolling eventually takes over and you actually start becoming as dumb as you sound

even tony wasn't that great
you can only keep the gig up for so long before it's just "hey a tony thread, better ignore it"

we need some sort of multiple account, multiple personality troll. that will be the one who wins us over.

the conservative definition of freedom is pretty much things that you can do that do not directly impede other peoples' rights

for example: you have the right to free speech, but you dont have the right to not be offended (like liberals believe) because offensive speech doesnt remove your right to argument. this is different than murder, which violates someone else's right to life but is conversely okay with liberals as long as its in the name of censoring free speech.

just doing whatever mental gymnastics you can to keep from questioning your own views right?

I just want to rule the world.
