I can't get into VG music if I'm not playing one because really good OSTs fit a particular mood and atmosphere that real life doesn't have.

Like I can't listen to, lets say deathroad to canada's ost, on commute since all i can think of is collecting stuff and running from zombies.

For me, it depends. If I'm still playing the game, or plan on it, then I wont listen to the OST. But if the game's stuff or I already completed it and never planned on going back to it. Then I'll probably listen to the OST, if it's good.
