DarkRP
DarkRP is normally designed to mirror normal life, but is normally exaggerated with the simplicity. The main part of Roleplay is taking on the role of different classes of people. Each class has its own purpose in the game. All classes can buy weapons from a gun dealer, but most weapons available are considered illegal to the public. Murder
Murder is one of the most popular custom gamemodes out there in the GMod Community. Created by Mechanical Mind and posted onto the Steam Workshop on October 18, 2013, it has since been a commonly played gamemode on GMod Servers.

Trouble in Terrorist Town
Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT) is a gamemode included with Garry's Mod. The game is about a group of "terrorists" who have traitors among them, out to kill everyone who's not a traitor. A small number of players is selected as Traitors, who have to kill all the Innocent players (ie. the rest of the players). Those innocents know they are in the majority, but they do not know who is Traitor and who is not.

Prophunt
There are 2 teams; Props and Hunters. Props will disguise as an object around the map and hide. The hunters will then attempt to find and kill all the props. There are ways to tell the difference from props and real objects.

When aimed at, the name and the health of Prop appears in red.
A Prop cannot be taken or pushed.
A prop will emit blood when damaged.
When a prop is hit, the Hunter will not take damage, and The Prop's quantity of HP will depend of the size of the taken item, going from 1 to 200.

STEAM WORKSHOP
Garry's Mod has Steam Workshop support. This is where you get and install addons. It offers wide varieties of addons -- cars, gamemodes, maps, weapons, models, etc. are all available. In January 2017, the Garry's Mod Workshop reached over 1 million Workshop items!

Indeed they were. I really miss the noise it made when you were downloading / adding items into your game.

They're still usable, but it's just a mess, imagine when Blockland didn't have the ZIP files and it was just folders, CS, DTS, PNG, and JPEG files everywhere
