Author Topic: [NEWS] Brexit: MPs overwhelmingly back Article 50 bill  (Read 4422 times)

"I understand that lol" as in I understand what Ipquarx is getting at. I still stand by my point that my original post was just a joke, not an argument or legitimate point like both of you are trying to push.

This argument is extremely petty and I'm going to do the smart thing and end it here due to it going literally nowhere.

you are mistakenly assuming that only your intent matters when conveying meaning. language is a finicky thing and the meaning of words is decided by a sort of unspoken consent of the majority, if the majority or even a large minority of people who use "liberal tears" believe it to be a legitimate caricature or genuine trolling then you can quite easily be mistaken as serious despite any intention. ipquarx is pointing out that the required sizable population exists

the brits can have their rainy hellhole to themselves

not an argument or legitimate point like both of you are trying to push.

Your repeated implications says otherwise

it matches his previous political postings and there is no traces of joke
its the same sort of self assuring dumb stuff of "u mad" where if anyone responds they are automatically "mad" except replace mad with crying and liberal and some people actually believe it
it is entirely believable that you are laughing at a social justice caricature you think represents all liberals, disparaging many legitimate opinions with a throwaway comment while simultaneously demonstrating no knowledge of the subject.

as in

he "wouldn't put it past you" to post something like that in a serious fashion

it wasn't but it was thought of that

poes law is such a joy

This argument is extremely petty and I'm going to do the smart thing and end it here due to it going literally nowhere.
laugh

quote 1 demonstrates how past actions and ambiguity can lead to misinterpretation

quote 2 is explaining why people get angry over liberal tears

quote 3 demonstrates how past actions and ambiguity can lead to misinterpretation

nowhere did i claim you saying liberal tears was pushing a legitimate point or an argument, there is not enough substance in the phrase to warrant anything substantive in response
