These messages have been appearing over and over again for the past fifteen minutes and my server has been lagging. I allowed another player into the server and I permanently banned him.

Unsure how that much joining produces so many lines of punch packets. He may have been just clicking really hard, like an autoclicker, if hands can be that humanly possible.

I also don't know what he means by "I'm not experienced in this," he may have been testing out software or the like.
But this wasn't a DDoS attempt. If it was you would lag or the server would crash, and there would be thousands of punch packets.

PapaMouse used to be one of my admins. He's trustworthy, you can lift his ban.
He's never hacked any server, as far as I know.
