Looking at this, they really aren't that high. Considering you need a doctorate to be a professor, and that teaching is a very skill-based, intensive job, these are completely reasonable. Sure the top 10% are paid a lot, but that's balanced out by the bottom 10%... Not sure what Shy_Guy's point is here.
Well, what I'm thinking that removing some unneeded programs would help overall and slash university president's salary would help too. What need to reduce a lot of major universities is sports coaching as they have a huge salary compared to many professions.
iirc part of the rising cost of tuition is because states are giving universities less money
But why go to a 4-year university and spend a lot of money unlike going to community college as they are cheaper, so you can transfer after 2 year to university for another 2 years.
