Trogtor do you get checkpoints or no? please tell me.

this could be considered a spoiler but i think what im saying is important for anyone whos attempting the trials

the trials are split into three sections, beginners, middle, and final trial. once you finish one of the three, the next trial becomes available. you do not have to go through all three trials without dying since they are all split up. but there are no checkpoints inside the trial and if you die you have to do that trial all over again.

looking at twitter, i haven't seen anyone complete the trials on master mode aside from me. few people have definitely completed it on master mode but its extremely hard and getting down a strategy is very important. it was especially hard for me because i wanted to complete the trials before i even started any main quests. i only had about ten hearts and an almost full stamina wheel

Ok thanks for clearing that up, that makes me feel a little bit better.

Dunno how much of a bump this is but is it just me that thinks the Zora are cute? Except, ironically, not Mipha. It's the lipstick, I think.

Edit: oh good only like a loving 15 day bump ahshdhebdj please spare me

>finding every zora cute except mipha

your taste in fish is disappointing

Not just me then?
mipha is pure you can't just dislike her like that buddy

sorry kobe but i have to agree with Super Suit 12.mipha is overrated and trash

Speaking of Mipha, is Mipha's Blessing or whatever used up and gone when you die with it enabled or can you get another/recharge it?

it recharges after 24 mins

Like every other power, I highly doubt they would've actually done that to us.

it recharges after 24 mins
thanks. now I can enable it without fear

late af but I enjoyed the heck out of this game. it was so refreshing to play a polished game with all the messy rushed games that bloat the industry these days.

one thing that I especially like is that you actually have to use your head. rarely do you ever simply follow a checkpoint cough the elder scrolls but rather names and directions are given and it's up to you to find it.

paya ftw

correct

I was watching this live on the Vinesauce livestream. I feel like I'm a part of history.

old post but same

yea I really enjoyed the exploration. I was dissapointed by a lot of things in the game. If it had more elements of other RPGs (like Witcher 3 and Skyrim) it could've been like, the greatest rpg ever.

exploration was 10/10 and the best part of the game. nothing was quite as much fun as traveling from one of the world to the other to get to the towers.
but then you discover it, and find yourself just running around listening for pings to find the towers. It got a little dull after like 30 hours when I had discovered all the regions (I was taking it slow). I really think it would've been made better if you got the paraglider later in the game (it would've been epic at the 10-15 hour mark) and if you got a horse earlier without having to figure it out on your own. the horses felt really unintuitive and while it's cool because it feels natural (like you just tamed a random horse) they weren't super useful.

tbh I think the game would've been way better if it either didn't have any teleportation or penalized you heavily for it. the world was so cool and pretty travelling through it several times and taking different routes by neccessity would've been fun. the best part of witcher 3 was when you got a map marker on the other end of the world and spent 45 minutes exploring towards it.

let's be real--the quests were *terrible*. they were 100% garbage quests. they could've been randomly generated and nobody would notice. every single one was 'go fetch me ____ x' or 'go kill _ y'. combat was really fun and intuitive though. I felt a little uneasy about items breaking because it made it feel like I should've ever use my epic weapons which got a little annoying, but it was a nice direction

the soundtrack was really un-memorable. the only memorable themes were the boarding ones and the ones that had been in previous zelda games. was hyrule castle theme new or reused? that one was good too. for a series so well known for it's music it felt like a let-down.

gameplay - 10/10 (just for how intuitive and interactable it felt)
graphics - 9/10 (pretty but a lot of weird looking low-poly areas)
story - 3/10 (quests were garbage. the spirit people (like mipha) were short-lived and really shoehorned in. like 1 hour from first appearance to last appearance.)

I really want an expansion that expands the map. TBH I wouldn't mind a lot of blank open fields because just riding your horse and paragliding is fun if the map looks pretty. I've always wanted an RPG with a really large map where you can play as a trader who makes money by moving between villages. I was so disappointing to learn that there was zero value in trading in Skyrim and Witcher 3, which IMO sit beside BOTW as the 3 best RPGs ever.

anyone know of any games with similar exploration themes? I really love exploring pretty maps. it's not fun in games like DayZ because the maps have zero soul in them but in games like Skyrim & Witcher 3 it's the most incredible feeling any game has ever given me.

I need to find some mods to make Fallout 4 less garbage and give it another try. I despise that game
